Put a Book in a Family's Hands.
Every book you buy lands in a family's hands.
When you buy a book from our wishlist, it doesn’t sit on a shelf. It goes directly into the community programs we run with families, caregivers, and young people across the nation.
Where your books go.
We run various community programs that put books directly into the homes, hands, and everyday spaces of the families we serve.
Program 01
LIFT
Libraries Inspiring Families Together. Multilingual book kits for young children and caregivers, distributed through WIC offices, housing centers, and clinics.
Community Programs
Books embedded in the everyday spaces where families already spend time — clinics, laundromats, housing centers, and other trusted community sites.
Program 03
School Partnerships
Library School Partnerships reach young people and families who don’t have easy access to a public library, through the schools they already attend.
What makes these different from a typical book drive.
01
Chosen with care, not collected at random.
Titles are selected by our team to reflect the languages, cultures, and ages of the families we serve.
02
Given, not lent.
These books are gifts. Kids take them home and keep them.
03
Delivered where families already are.
Books go to WIC offices, laundromats, clinics, and schools — the places families spend real time — so reading becomes part of everyday life.
READY TO GIVE?
Every purchase goes directly into LIFT kits and our community reading spaces.
Every purchase supports our programs — and the independent bookstores that, like libraries, keep books within reach.

We gratefully accept new or gently used titles. At this time, we’re only accepting books for preschool through middle school ages.
