The American branch of Bibliothèques Sans Frontières

Power the pursuit of learning for all.

Millions of people in the US live out of reach of the libraries meant to serve them. Libraries Without Borders US (LWB US) closes that distance from two directions: we help library systems reach the families they are missing, and we deliver books, training, and archiving work directly in those communities.

How we work

Two interconnected pathways to equitable access

01

Community Programs

We work directly with excluded communities to remove barriers to access, create culturally relevant programming, and support literacy, learning, and cultural preservation.

02

Institutional Partnerships

We equip libraries with the expert consulting, training, and implementation support they need to reach excluded populations and deliver measurable results.
