WASH AND LEARN (WALI)

Wash and Learn (WALI) has gained national attention for its innovative approach to boosting literacy and bridging the Digital Divide. At laundromats across 8 different states, we partner with local librarians and volunteer groups to truly meet people where they are. Together, we are turning laundromats across the country into centers of learning and engagement.

IDEAs BOX PUERTO RICO

Our IdeasBox, a highly-durable, energy-independent multimedia center, was our solution for post-hurricane recovery in 2018. Stocked with internet, tablets, laptops, cameras, board games, books, art materials and even a stage for music and theater, this space is a hub for informal and effective learning and community building.

And So Much More

From the Legal Literacy Initiative in the Nation’s Capital, to our budding efforts at bringing literacy and technology to Manufactured Housing communities across the Midwest, LWB is committed to expanding our impact. We pride ourselves on our multifaceted strategy addressing inequity in education, technology, and information inequity across the country.
