Our Programs / Library-School Partnerships
Library Transformation
An application-based initiative that increases library access and usage for underserved youth and families by building relationships between local schools, school libraries, and public libraries. At the heart of our work: engaging students, families, and community members with the dynamic resources public libraries provide.
Each partnership follows a proven arc — designed so the bridge outlasts our involvement.
Current and past Library-School Partnerships span the country — from New York to the mid-Atlantic and beyond.
This work is funded through a generous grant from DEMAIN, supporting nonprofits around the world to provide equal opportunities and access to health, education, and culture.
Applications for the at-large Library School Partnership program are currently closed — the window opens yearly. Libraries within the New York Public Library system can apply to the NYC Library School Partnership Program now.
