Cultural Heritage Preservation · Loíza, Puerto Rico
A community-led digital archiving initiative in Loíza — the heart of Afro-Puerto Rican culture. Residents document, digitize, and preserve their own cultural memory: photographs, oral histories, music, and traditions that belong to the community itself.
Community digitization days where residents bring photographs, documents, and objects — and record the stories behind them.
Training local archivists in digital preservation — the skills and equipment stay in Loíza.
A public digital archive that carries Loíza’s bomba, festival, and family histories to the next generation — on the community’s terms.
